They are applied in a bundle of 5 ($25.00 per) when you buy Custom Tuning, a Flash Device, a Chip; or when you buy Credits directly.

A: - Whenever you add ANYTHING that changes fueling or injection, how the engine receives air intake and by how much, modifying or changing the transmission. or changing gearing.
No, small changes to your existing combo do not require using credits. Only adjusting...
So, with this in mind --- I WILL NOT revise your tunes without the use of Credits if you change gears, CID, MAF, Stall, Transmission or add Power Adders.
