J3 Chip Switch Cable Tech

As you may have noticed, our new hardware package does not include a 4 position tune selector switch. We are putting this page up to show you how to obtain one, and connect one that works with the new chip manufacturers device. If you would like to purchase one from the manufacturer, you can go here. If you really want to show off, you can opt-in for their badass relay latching switch.

Or... you can follow the steps below to get a multi-tune setup with another style switch with ease. Depends on what you want..

For the DIY route:

  1. Search online for the SCT 6601 and 6602 -- Those are the two part numbers... switch and cable. See Link....
  2. Cut the tab from the cable connector plug like you see in the first pic below.
  3. Turn the connector over and look for the "ARROW" on top left.
  4. Connect the cable to the white plug on the chip like you see in the second and third pics below.
  5. Place switch wherever you want / need to.
  6. Plug switch in to the cable just like it goes in it.
  7. Enjoy 4 custom tunes.

NOTE: Use a small tie strap or strip of good tape to secure cable connector to white chip connector if needed.
