This is a PDF document for the 1993 to 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII EDIS-8 (Electronic Distributor-less Ignition System, 8 cylinder) box on the driver side of the engine compartment.
This is obviously what controls the spark output in the OBD-I system on these cars.
This file also has connections for the 1996 Ford Explorer 5.0L at the end. It was compiled for cross referencing purposes for the DIY EEC-V conversion guru's. May help, may not but it is there.
