Questions About Our Services

The 6 most common questions we get asked are listed below. Questions like "what all does the software do", or "can I delete this or that" ARE NOT answered here. Those types of questions may or may not get answered unless we know you are using the software legally and have obtained a Use Key.

Q: What if I sell / no longer have my model year car I bought the CalibrVIIItor (or other Ford)  software for, and recently obtained another Mark (VII or VIII) with a different ECU Strategy?

  • enlightenedA: No big deal. Just show us you no longer have it, send us your Use Key and we can swap the Use Key over to a new template for $75.00. If you didn't keep the chip, we will send you a link on where to buy one. Tuning for the new strategy will be $100.00 to convert your old tunes / revisions to the new strategy. If you sold the burner, pick up another one of those too with the link we sent.

Q: Can I burn my own chip from "XYZ" Company?

  • enlightenedA: Obviously we are going to tell you to use the chip we supply. Some folks have tested other manufacturers chips and some work, some don't. Our setups are designed to work best with the supplied chip, and can only be programmed with the supplied burner.

Q: How do you remote in to my computer to tune?

  • enlightenedA remote desktop application called TeamViewer. You must have a computer connected to the internet and be on the phone while the session is active. This helps us navigate your screen remotely, and show you what all does what. It's a really good tool to have at your fingertips.

Q: How do you process payments?

  • enlightenedA: PayPal Checkout period.. We don't want your payment info on our site. Only thing we need to know is where to ship your stuff and who gets it. Obviously without money, you get nadda..

Q: How many free re-tunes do I get?

  • enlightenedA: Short answer; until it's dialed in. Free re-tunes won't happen if you started stock and added a big ass blower to your car either. Our goal is to help you LEARN the system. We will help guide those who want to learn. Free Re-Tunes are ONLY available to folks that own a Chip Burner, software and programmed chip from us.

Q: What power or driving change can I experience with tuning a stock or near stock vehicle?

  • enlightenedA: With the 93-98 Lincoln Mark VIII, typical N/A improvements are 95% directed to the lazy transmission tuning to give you a more modern feel. Shift points and torque converter lockup/unlock are a major thing. Plus everything associated with them. Fuel and spark tuning make up for about 5% of the tuning that takes place. On average, a bone stock car will feel like it got 3.55:1 gears and a small stall converter put in. Usually in the neighborhood of 20-30 RWHP and RWTQ are seen. Most of our customers have noticed a MPG increase as well due to a more linear powerband accomplished by tuning. All of your current (if any) mods are taken in to consideration as well when you tune it. Tuning can only improve it all together. Example -- If you have a J-Modded trans and 4.10's, we would address TV line pressures (and a lot more) to jive out better with the J-Mod. Make sense? If you already have hardware and want to try our our base tune file to see, check them out in this link.
